The American airline Spirit Airlines announces the resumption of its Cap Haïtien / Fort a Lauderdale flights from Friday May 10, 2024. A decision that came after an in-depth assessment and discussions between the Company and its safety, security and airport partners.
However, Spirit Airlines spokesman Michael Lopardi said service between Fort Lauderdale and Toussaint Louverture International Airport remains suspended while the company evaluates its security options.
Note that American Airlines has announced for its part that its travel to Haiti will resume from May 16, 2024, thus pushing back the date initially set, namely May 9.
