Finally, spring has returned! With the rays of the sun comes the desire to give your home a big clean, to reopen the windows, to dust everything. In short, do the big spring cleaning.

Here are four essentials to have when you embark on this big cleaning, according to a microbiologist.

Baking soda, black soap… The essentials for your household!

Faced with the hundreds of household products that appear on the shelves of our supermarkets, it is difficult to make a choice. However, to be effective, only four products are enough.

Thus, microbiologist Christophe Mercié recommends always having in your cupboards: white vinegar, citric acid, baking soda and black soap.

White vinegar and citric acid are very effective for descale the toilets and sinks in the house. Simply mix three spoons in half a liter of water to benefit from a natural and very effective stripper.

Both vinegar and acid are equally practical. Small advantage for citric acid which gives us avoids the harsh smell of white vinegar.

Baking soda helps turn everything white your surfaces by removing all encrusted dirt. All you need to do is mix a tablespoon in a little water.

As to black soapit allows to clean everything, from the gas stove to the terrace! Mix a capful in four liters of water before cleaning. Don’t forget to rinse after use.

An ecological gesture

In addition to taking care of your health, these four products watch over the planet.

For this, it is also possible to clean with steam. The latter will dissolve grease and clean deeply. Fragrance-free, it does not deteriorate air quality. Then simply ventilate to avoid humidity in your home.

To move away from toxic solutions, use microfiber cloths, damp cloths, etc. If natural solutions don’t suit you, opt for eco-labels. They exist for almost all household products.

For the floor, toilets, dishwasher, windows… You will find a product suited to all your needs.
