Three months after the signing of the April 3 agreement to establish a Transitional Presidential Council, the process has stalled. The structures needed to implement the agreement have still not been established.

Jacques Ted Saint Dic, a member of the Montana Agreement Monitoring Office, said in an interview on Magik9 radio that the relationship between the Council and the BSA is based solely on this agreement, signed to get the country out of the crisis. He also revealed that for three weeks, Montana has had no contact with its delegate to the Council, highlighting growing tensions.

The decree published on May 27 by members of the Presidential Transitional Council, modifying the organization of the CPT, was perceived by Mr. Saint Dic as a maneuver to deviate from the initial agreement.

He denounced what he considers a disguised coup d’état, seriously compromising the agreed political project. According to him, this betrayal of commitments could revive the political crisis in Haiti, while relations between the sectors concerned and their delegates remain fragile and conflictual.
