The gangs set fire to several pharmacies, clinics and some houses located near the general hospital
Since February 29, armed gangs have besieged a large part of the metropolitan region of Port-au-Prince. At the start of this week, they burned down the majority of pharmacies, clinics and houses located near the hospital.State University of Haitibetter known as the General Hospital.
The Haitian capital has gone into a tailspin. Downtown Port-au-Prince is almost deserted. Citizens have abandoned their homes because of the violence of the gangs that rule the roost. The thugs took advantage of the displacement of families to burn down houses, warehouses, clinics and pharmacies located on rue Monseigneur Guilloux, near the general hospital.
These armed individuals continue to extend their tentacles in order to sow terror. During their crimes, the Brother Nau College building was not spared. This school was also ravaged by fire.
In the meantime, countries that call themselves friends of Haiti continue to evacuate their nationals using helicopters in order to escape this violence. Even wealthy people in the country took advantage of a few charter flights to leave Haiti during this escalation of violence.
