The Coalition of Nationalist Organizations for the Well-being of Haiti (KONBA) launched an appeal to all sectors of the country and submitted several demands to the members of the Presidential Council

In a note it published, the Coalition of Nationalist Organizations for the Well-being of Haiti (KONBA), which brings together several organizations in the ten departments, launched an appeal to all sectors of the country to denounce the Haitian state, accused of neglecting the population.

In this context, the structure says it takes note of the new presidential council which has been set up and makes several demands of the members of the CP. She asks him to commit significant funds in the new budget to support farmers in projects “the nation” such as the Ouanaminthe canal, in order to irrigate more land in the country.

In this note, KONBA proposes to equip the Army and the Police in order to resolve insecurity and quickly unblock trade routes. He also suggests setting up a structure to control political leaders, judges, police officers and mayors who would collude with armed gangs to steal peasants’ land and their livestock, with the aim of putting an end to this behavior. .

Along the same lines, the coalition calls for the formation of a provisional electoral council (CEP) which is not affiliated with any political party. A CEP capable of guaranteeing free, fair and democratic elections.

The KONBA coalition is taking the opportunity to address the problem of education by asking to create better working conditions for teachers and professors, thus providing children from disadvantaged families with access to quality education.

This note is signed by 35 members of organizations that are part of the coalition of Nationalist Organizations for the Well-being of Haiti (Konbit Òganizasyon Nasyonalis yo pou Byennèt Ayiti – KONBA).
