The RDNP made a diagnosis of the socio-political situation of the country in a note that it published on February 15, 2024. In this document, the party which has held the presidency of the High Council of Transition (HCT), for almost a year, highlights pillory all Haitian political actors who, stifled by their selfishness, cannot reach a consensus to resolve the crisis. Building on the delicate situation facing the country, the RDNP claims to support popular mobilizations aimed at claiming their rights while advocating a new government team.
Despite still accepting the head of the HCT, the RDND has not hidden that the agreement of December 21, 2024 has lapsed. This consensus can no longer hold water, the party said, citing several reasons. Faced with this observation, the RDNP spares no one, whether it is the de facto Prime Minister or other politicians who have closed themselves behind their pettiness. For the RDNP, the situation we are witnessing is a corollary of the lack of political will of the actors.
For the RDNP, in similar situations, the best possible route is to resort to sovereigns. In witness to which, he affirms to support the popular demonstrations against the power. However, he advocates the peaceful path to violence of all kinds. According to the RDNP, this transition situation that the country is witnessing is due to, what it calls, the failure of democracy. For the Acting President of the party, there is nothing wrong in the fact that a people can banish a Government which does not fulfill its mission.
In order to correct the situation, the party is advocating for a new government team. The latter, he demands, must be inclusive and participatory with a view to a prompt return to democratic order.
