Instead of the election, there was a proclamation. This Tuesday, April 30, 2024, Edgard Leblanc Fils, representative of the January 30 Agreement on the Presidential Transitional Council, was designated president of this structure.
The information was confirmed by Frinel Joseph, observer of the Presidential Council acting as spokesperson on the occasion.
Note that former senator Edgard Leblanc Fils, born in 1955 in Miragoâne, in the department of Nippes, cut his teeth in the public affairs sector, through cultural and community activities in a youth association that he founded in 1976, in its
hometown. He is currently coordinator of the Organization of the People in Struggle (OPL).
