The post-Ariel transition is definitely becoming clearer. Indeed, a note from the Prime Minister’s communications office announced, this Wednesday, April 24, 2024, that the installation of the Presidential Council will take place before the end of this week.
More precisely, the nine (9) members of the Presidential Council will be installed this Thursday, April 25, 2024. The announcement was made in an invitation note from the Prime Minister’s Office to the media.
In this document, it is confirmed that the ceremony will take place at the Villa d’accueil in Musseau. Which implies that the National Palace is abandoned because of the climate of insecurity that reigns in the Capital.
Note that according to available information, it is Smith Augustin, representative of the RED/EDE/Historical Compromise coalition, who will deliver the inaugural speech. The latter is not a candidate for the presidency of the Council.
