In the same vein, these two imperialist countries France and Canada lagging behind their leader, the United States of America reported the French embassy in Haiti “call for the rapid deployment of the Multinational Security Support Mission in Haiti to help the PNH fight organized crime”.
However, they do not have the courage to say that this criminality which they denounce finds its continued vitality in the policy pursued by their government in Haiti which in the past supported all the authoritarian, anti-popular regimes which plundered the impoverished country. For more than a century, Haiti has been the victim of all kinds of bloody crimes concocted by Western imperialism, starting with coups d’état to destabilize any progressive, nationalist government devoted to the interests of the popular masses. Should we then recall that the coups d’état against the Haitian people in 1994 and 2004 were orchestrated by the United States in perfect complicity with these two thieves, France and Canada.
The continuing terrorism and banditry to which Gabriel Attal and Justin Trudeau refer were precisely introduced into Haiti by American imperialism. The policy decided and then executed since the American occupation of Haiti in 1915 is that deriving from the will of the vilest imperialism and not that of the aspirations of the Haitian workers and peasantry.
Funny coincidence, the day after their declaration on April 12, the decree creating this transitional body was published by the resigning government in the Official Journal of the Republic of Haiti Le Moniteur. An announcement to which all the imperial potentates quickly reacted, expressing their contentment that their puppet will organize itself to flout the masses with a new governmental structure, a Presidential Council of 9 acrobats to direct the desired transition until February 7, 2026 And this will give the imperialist experts enough time to plan further political catastrophes to continue the ruin of the country while profiting from stealing its resources.
Furthermore, in a press release published on Monday April 15, 2024, the European Union for its part emphasized that : “Following the publication of the official decree establishing the procedure for establishing a Presidential Transitional Council (CPT) in Haiti, it is now crucial that the CPT be formally appointed by the outgoing government of Prime Minister Ariel Henry without further to wait for. This will then allow the appointment of a new prime minister by this council”
It is obvious that all that Washington wants, supported by Ottawa and Paris as well as the other imperialist powers involved for a long time in Haiti, is to establish the reactionary bourgeois order to repress the working masses so that they do not organize themselves. hardly to radically change the State and the order of things.
Finally, on Tuesday April 16 to satisfy his bosses, Prime Minister Ariel Henry signed the decree appointing the Presidential Transitional Council of Haiti, ending his mandate and his government. The decree was published by the official newspaper of Haiti “Le Moniteur”.
The voting members of the Presidential Transitional Council are Smith Augustin, of the EDE/RED and Compromis historique party; Louis Gérald Gilles, of the December 21 Agreement; Fritz Alphonse Jean, of the Montana Accord; Edgard Leblanc Fils, of the January 30 Agreement; Laurent Saint-Cyr, from the private sector; Emmanuel Vertilaire, from the Pitit Dessalines Party, and Leslie Voltaire, from Fanmi Lavalas.
Régine Abraham and Frinel Joseph are also members of the Presidential Transitional Council as observers but without the right to vote.
