Brandt was arrested on October 22, 2012 after the kidnapping on October 16 of Nicolas and Coralie Moscoso, children of the CEO of Sogebank and escaped from the civil prison of Croix-des-Bouquets on August 10, 2014 before being quickly caught by Dominican law enforcement and handed over to the Haitian police.

Haitian police waited more than a month to finally compile a list of prisoners who escaped from the National Penitentiary, including some of the most famous alleged criminals.
In addition to Dimitri Herard, whose release would be at the origin of the intrusion of terrorist gangs into the National Penitentiary, Clifford Brand, one of the very first gang leaders of the Tet Kale 1 era, is also on the list of dangerous fugitives from the Judicial Police.
This list, made public earlier this week, informs the public that the prisoners, many of whom have never appeared before their natural judge, are actively sought.
The people accused of the assassination of former president Jovenel Moise are on the list of prisoners wanted by the PNH. Note that, according to public outcry, the former head of presidential security, who distinguished himself in the assassination of a student from the Ecole Normale Supérieure, would be holed up in the stronghold of the terrorist gang leader, Izo “5 seconds”.
