Of the 481 cases supported by the CAN in March 2024 (-59.23% compared to the previous month https://www.icihaiti.com/article-41947-icihaiti-sante-bilan-du-centre-ambulancier-national- feb-2024.html ), transfers (34%) and obstetric emergencies (23%) were the two most important items.
Number and types of interventions:
3 cases of confirmed cholera;
15 cases of respiratory distress (not associated with Covid-19);
59 cases of chronic diseases (various pathologies);
110 obstetric emergencies;
44 Public Road Accidents;
165 transfers (references and laboratory examinations);
34 traumas (injuries & fractures of varying degrees);
13 gunshot wounds;
10 stab wounds;
3 cases of burns;
25 various conditions (malaise, diarrhea, fever, anemia, abdominal pain, etc.).
Of the 481 cases supported by the CAN: 214 interventions took place in the West, 87 in Artibonite, 66 in the North-West, 43 in the South-East, 23 in Nippe, 17 in the North , 14 in the South, 11 in the North-East, 6 in Grand’Anse.
