The coalition of armed gangs, “Viv Ansanm”, carried out simultaneous attacks in several places in the capital this Monday, April 1, notably in downtown Port-au-Prince, in Delmas and in Pétion-Ville, a man identified under the name of Fritz Émile lost his life after being shot in the head in Delmas 30.
After the apparent calm of the Easter weekend, the gangs are back in action. Automatic weapons fire rings out at Champ-de-Mars, on the Route de Frères as well as at Delmas 28 and 19.
A stray bullet hit Fritz Émile in the head. This native of Cavaillon died in Delmas 30, near the Sogebank head office.
This climate of tension affects transport and informal sector activities at the airport Carrefour.
The observation is the same at Champ-de-Mars.
At least 4 bodies discovered has Pétion Ville at the corner of Vilate and Metellus streets
The town of Pétion Ville is hit hard by insecurity. Indeed, if initially, it was the peripheral districts of the town which were concerned, this time it is the city center itself which is in the eye of the storm.
Less than two weeks ago, more than ten bodies were discovered on the road and the town continues to count deaths. During the night from Sunday to Monday, the lifeless bodies of four people were discovered at downtown. Armed bandits, belonging to the Village de Dieu “5secs” gang, had announced that they were going to strike in Pétion-Ville.
The police have therefore been notified!
