P-au-P., April 2, 2024 [AlterPresse] — It is an endearing memory, that of Jean Dominique, journalist, presenter, director of Radio Haïti Inter, who disappeared under murderous bullets on April 3, 2000, in Delmas (Port-au-Prince).
It’s an inspiring memory. It brings to mind an approach articulating content and form for a useful and careful radio approach.
It’s a vivid memory. It fuels a form of resistance based on hope, despite the continuous accumulation of very dark days in a capital where death lurks at all times.
It’s an enlightening memory. It highlights the difficulty of bringing about justice in this blood-soaked land.
Before April 3, 2000, and 24 years after that fateful day, so many lives were brutally extinguished! And the ballet of bullets of all calibers continues.
