While the Transitional Presidential Council (CPT) and Transition Prime Minister Gary Conille discuss the formation of the government, Julio Adam, President of the Fédération des Asecs d’Haïti (FENASEC), calls for significant changes within the ministries. He insists on the need to appoint a Minister of the Interior experienced in local authorities.
Adam also urges Conille to include local elected officials in the management of national disasters and the development of strategic plans. He underlines the importance of protecting municipal sections, particularly vulnerable to the influx of people fleeing the capital.
In addition, the president of FENASEC asks the new authorities to adopt a clear public security policy to deal with the serious security crisis the country is going through.
