Police officer Lector Roobens killed by several projectiles near the Faculty of Dentistry, reports SYNAPOHA.
The National Union of Haitian Police Officers (SYNAPOHA) reported the assassination of police officer Lector Roobens, agent 1 of the SWAT unit. He was part of the 31st promotion of the PNH, indicated SYNAPOHA, stressing that the victim received eight projectiles this Wednesday, February 14, 2024.
Indeed, the action took place this Wednesday afternoon near the Sylvio Cator Stadium, near the Faculty of Dentistry. The victim received eight projectiles and breathed his last in a hospital, SYNAPOHA noted.
The National Union of Haitian Police Officers also indicated that this action is an execution, according to the information it has collected.
The death of Lector Roobens by armed individuals extends the list of police victims. For SYNAPOHA, 37 police officers were killed during the year 2023 by armed bandits.
