Thus, he provides them with psychological and social support to help them overcome these difficult times.
THE HAITI FACTOR, May 1, 2024._Indeed, for many years, the Psychosocial Assistance Program (PAPSY) has been established in the Southern Peninsula through psychological training sessions for police officers from the Motorized Intervention Brigade (BIM).
Others had benefited from free therapy sessions for other police officers who were victims of trauma following their participation in operations.
As has been the case for many years, Doctor Gérard Mondestin, at the initiative of his structure called “Psychosocial Assistance Program (PAPSY)” comes to the aid of children and families in several municipalities in the South Department, notably Les Cayes, who need socio-psychological support.
The beneficiaries are for the most part those victims of armed and sexual violence from gangs who chase them from their homes in the West, particularly in Port-au-Prince, according to the doctor.
Faithful to his commitment, Doctor Gérard Mondestin plans to organize on May 20, free consultation sessions for women and girls victims of rape, violence, capture and torture by malicious individuals.
They will last seven (7) days at his clinic, located in Bergeau, for women and girls. The beneficiaries will show up every morning during the seven days and will find everything they need to eat, according to the initiators.
