Several members of the “400 mawozo” gang were killed on Wednesday June 26, 2024, in Croix-des-Bouquets, by police officers aboard an armored tank. To avenge their acolytes, other gangsters set fires in the evening , the Town Hall of the Commune, confirms the newspaper with several local sources.
THE HAITI FACTOR, June 27, 2024._The Town Hall of Croix-des-Bouquets, Commune of the Western Department of Haiti, was set on fire on the night of Wednesday June 26 to Thursday June 27, 2024, by gangsters of the “400 mawozo”.
They set fire to the state institution in response to the shooting deaths of several of their acolytes on Wednesday by police officers.
At least this is what the editorial staff of the Journal LE FACTEUR HAITI confirmed with several sources living in the said Commune.
Add to this, the bandits also destroyed two (2) generators as well as a compression truck, serving Marie.
Before this new demonstration, they were already attacking other public and private institutions, such as the General Directorate of Taxes (DGI), the civil prison, the Public Prosecutor’s Office of the Court of First Instance and commercial banks established in the Commune.
Remember that the former “400 mawozo” gang leader, Germine Joly alias “Yonyon” was sentenced to 35 years in prison on Monday June 24, 2024, by the American courts. He was found guilty of laundering ransoms from kidnappings and illegal trafficking of American firearms to Haiti, according to the United States Department of Justice.
