The Cuban government announced this Thursday, June 6, 2024 that a Russian fleet, including three ships and a nuclear submarine, will stop at the port of Havana between June 12 and 17.
The Cuban Ministry of Foreign Affairs clarified that this visit is part of the historic relations of friendship between Cuba and the Russian Federation, and fully respects the international regulations ratified by Havana.
In response to information recently released by American sources, which mentioned the presence of Russian ships in the Caribbean Sea for maneuvers and a possible stopover in Cuba and Venezuela, the Cuban government wanted to clarify that these ships are not carrying any weapons. nuclear power and that their presence does not constitute a threat to the region.
