Dominique Dupuy, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship (MAEC).

During her appearance on Télé Métropole’s “Le Point”, Dominique Dupuy, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Worship (MAEC), affirmed her commitment to reforming Haitian diplomacy. She insisted on the need to re-establish the rotation of diplomats to revitalize the diplomatic corps. With the support of Prime Minister Garry Conille and his cabinet, she aspires to project a positive image of Haiti.

Several diplomats have already been recalled. Dupuy advocates diplomacy that serves the country’s interests, in alignment with the objectives of the Presidential Transitional Council (CPT). She considers diplomacy to be a crucial investment for the Haitian state and aims to revitalize this costly sector to encourage investment.

The diplomat also highlighted the gender imbalance in Haitian diplomacy, noting that many women have not been promoted for more than fourteen years. About thirty women have recently obtained promotions, marking an effort to rectify this inequality.

The minister also announced that the Superior Court of Auditors and Administrative Disputes (CSC/CA) has agreed to carry out a financial and administrative audit within Haitian diplomacy, a crucial step in the fight against corruption, a priority of the current government and the CPT.
