The Lorquet Foundation for a New Haiti (FOLONHA) extends its warmest congratulations to Reverend Pastor Grégory Toussaint and his team on the occasion of the inauguration of the premises of the Tabernacle of Glory (TG) Church of Miami (Tabernacle of Glory Miami Campus) on Friday, July 5, 2024.

This new imposing building with a capacity of 3,300 seats, including 2,500 in the main enclosure, now symbolizes the pride of Haitians in the Diaspora. It is a testament to what compatriots living outside the country can do when they are driven by effective, efficient leadership, and above all by a vision reflecting a new paradigm.

This achievement demonstrates the capacity and contribution of certain Haitian immigrants in the building of their host country.

This imposing building, which cost approximately $60 million and took six (6) years to build, is undoubtedly proof of new leadership in the Haitian community. It should serve as an example to young Haitians living abroad to show them that they must devote themselves to positive things that can bring honor to the Haitian community, because there is no limit to dreams; you just have to devote yourself seriously and be driven by a desire to revolutionize things in your respective environment.

In just 21 years, Gregory Toussaint has achieved what other evangelical leaders had not dared to consider. The secret lies in vision and not being afraid to undertake big projects and especially in knowing how to take advantage of the opportunities that are placed in our path.

As a member of civil society, the Lorquet Foundation hopes that this achievement can serve as an example and reference for other religious leaders not only in the Miami community, but in the United States and the Diaspora in general.

May the construction of the Tabernacle of Glory of Miami now stimulate Haitians to adopt a new mentality to come together to build mega projects, including shopping centers, restaurant chains, supermarkets, and other large-scale initiatives like other communities, especially Hispanics, to leave their mark on the society in which they live and contribute validly to its development. This type of achievement will certainly have beneficial repercussions with regard to the image of Haitians.

May our compatriots also understand that, even from a distance, they can actively participate in the development of their country of origin. May they join together to support associations, foundations and humanitarian organizations that are fighting to change the overall situation in the country.

May Haitians living abroad now contribute validly to the advancement of their native land through large-scale investment projects. FOLONHA hopes that security conditions can improve quickly in Haiti in order to allow them to contribute to its advancement.

Let’s all move forward together for progress in fraternity. The time has come to unite to begin building the new Haiti that we all dream of.

Let us work in peace and harmony so that Haiti becomes prosperous again!

Finally, the Lorquet Foundation wishes success to Pastor Grégory Toussaint and his team in their project to expand the campus and soon build a Conference Center, a television station and an educational institution that meets American standards.

Toussaint is a testimony to the respect for the principles of education provided by exemplary parents in foreign lands. It is a source of inspiration for all young people of Haitian origin evolving in the Diaspora, a proof that with discipline, perseverance and determination, they can also realize their most ambitious dreams in life.

It should be recalled that on January 22, 2021, the Lorquet Foundation for a New Haiti (FOLONHA) honored Reverend Pastor Grégory Toussaint for his inspiring career and commitment, but above all for his positive involvement within Haitian society and throughout the world, notably within the Tabernacle of Glory in Miami.

Created on April 12, 2010 after the earthquake of January 12, 2010, the Lorquet Foundation for a New Haiti (FOLONHA) has the mission of contributing to medical, educational and social projects aimed at combating exclusion and isolation by promoting the creation and maintenance of social ties in the communities in which it operates. FOLONHA operates in four (4) areas: Education, Health, Social Services and International Cooperation.
