At the initiative of the Patrick Laurent et Associés firm, the 11th edition of the Law Fair took place on Friday June 21, 2024, in Pétion-Ville, under the theme “Accountability”. As usual, many personalities, including jurists, lawyers, legislators, public administration executives, Government officials, among others, attended the annual legal event.

THE HAITI FACTOR, June 27, 2024._The Law Fair is a workshop for exchanges and reflection on the crucial issues of transparency and institutional responsibility in Haiti. The coordination of the 11th edition was controlled by the Anti-Corruption Unit (ULCC).

The state institution headed by Hans Jacques L. Joseph took the opportunity to provide its expertise on accountability, the central theme around which the event took place.

Responding to the call from the Patrick Laurent et Associés firm, the Director General of the ULCC, Mr Hans Joseph, encouraged the assembly to get involved in the debates with the aim of anchoring accountability in their initiatives.

Initiator of the Law Fair, Me Patrick Laurent, for his part, suggested that this year the event has gained importance thanks to its symbol of an act of faith and success based on the multiple crises that Haiti is facing, because the idea of canceling it was an option because of insecurity.

However, committed to the cause of law, the organizational team redoubled its efforts to review the programming and location.

While the organizers set the 12th edition for May 9, 2025, they also say they are considering relocating it to provincial towns to continue to bring justice closer to citizens in order to abolish the borders of jurisdictions in a process of common reflection around only one cause: the rule of law, according to the conclusions of Me Laurent.
