The Presidential Advisors failed in their attempts to install them in the National Palace. Routed by the armed gangs grouped within the “viv ansanm” coalition, the 9 Members of the Presidential Council turn their backs on the Presidential Palace. They will be invested in their functions on Thursday, April 25, 2024, at the Villa d’Aceuil ( at the Prime Minister’s office) located in Musseau, in Delmas 60.

THE HAITI FACTOR, April 24, 2024._ Relocation of the installation ceremony of the Presidential Council of 9 Members imposed on Haitian actors by Caricom to replace the resigning Government.

Initially scheduled at the National Palace, the inauguration ceremony will finally take place on Thursday, April 25, 2024, starting at 9:30 AM, at the Haitian Prime Minister’s Office (Villa d’Acceuil), located in Musseau, in Delmas 60.

The date and location were confirmed by the Prime Minister’s Office in a restricted invitation note intended for Journalists.

« The Prime Minister’s communications office invites journalists to cover, this Thursday, April 25, 2024, from 9:30 a.m., the installation ceremony of the Presidential Transitional Council, at the Prime Minister’s Office, Reception Villa located in Musseau », informs the resigning Government.

In the note, it was specified that “ the invitation takes place of the media to which it is sent » .Which means that the Government has listed its own media to ensure coverage of the event.

The resigning Government and the Presidential Council were forced by the gangs of the “viv ansanm” coalition to relocate the event because of the insecurity created by the latter in the vicinity of the National Palace.

It should be noted that the Presidential Palace has suffered numerous armed attacks in recent days from bandits who want to storm it. It took urgent responses from the police to repel the gangsters.

The change of address of the ceremony also makes people unhappy. In fact, out of a target number of nearly 400 guests, around 100 will attend, according to the new protocol.
