International friendly match: 3 new absentees in the Grenadiers camp

The Haitian men’s selection will face the Guyanese team this Saturday, March 23 in a friendly in Cayenne, after Ricardo Adé, Leverton Pierre, Jeppe Simonsen, Arcus Carlens and Carl Fred Sainté withdrew.

Arcus Carlens declined the call-up to the national team at the last minute and was replaced by Steeven Séance who plays in the 4th French division. The 31-year-old was not pre-selected and came as reinforcement to compensate for the absence of Carlens Arcus and Jeppe Simonsen.

Carl Fred Sainté will have been conspicuous by his absence due to small administrative details, according to information from RTVC’s star journalist, Kesnol Lamour. He should enter Haiti in order to obtain the visa that would allow him to enter Guyana, but the situation in the country forces the embassies to remain closed.
Running out of playing time with Viseu FC, Jeppe Simonsen was one of the players pre-summoned for this friendly match. He declined the invitation from the technical staff. Jeppe Simonsen was one of the promising players but so far he is far from convincing the fans of the Haitian team.

Leverton Pierre, the US Avranches player, declined the invitation since his manager does not accept his trip to the national team. On this point, we can question the player. Is playing for the national team a matter of pride or a matter of pleasing your manager.

The coach will make his first training this afternoon with of course a reduced squad, since several players playing in the special pre-convened national championship cannot travel for this meeting.
