This violence which terrifies us and kills us is a construct. The rich and the State have done everything to get us to this point.
The height: a battle to represent the signatories of the so-called December 21 agreement which had promised elections for February 7, 2024. A gang which brings together the most corrupt politicians and the most notorious free riders in public affairs.
Their presence is already enough to discredit the establishment of a Council for an attempt to end the crisis, without shame, without embarrassment, they are fighting among themselves. Among them, so-called party leaders who betrayed everything, said everything and its opposite.
If we are talking about transitional justice, it will be necessary to investigate who benefited financially from violating the law from their adherence to the macabre farce of the late de facto government.

The height. Diplomats and political leaders have changed this song: “it is the Haitians who must find a solution”. It took them two years, fourteen years if we count the years of Michel Joseph Martelly and Jovenel Moïse, to reach this conclusion. Didn’t the Haitians tell them that? Hadn’t the Haitians told them that Ariel Henry’s madness was precisely a madness which would have no other effect than to make the situation worse?
These same diplomats and political leaders who have learned to say “a Haitian solution” nevertheless apply themselves to saying who must participate in this Haitian solution, how future leaders will have to approve such project or proposal from “foreign friends of Haiti”. A Haitian solution under my dictation. A former ambassador who had been a groupie of the “Tèt kale” power even goes so far as to reveal a particular interest in a gang leader.
The height. Between the legitimate complaints of people who have lost their parents, their loved ones, their assets, their homes and the fear of those who fear that gang violence will come to hunt them down in their lairs which they believed protected by their wealth and social distance, there is a gap. The writers said so. Humanities researchers said so.

The people themselves said it: on the overflow of social injustice and its maintenance by a State and powers serving exclusively to enrich its leaders and perpetuate exploitation, domination and exclusion, a situation of quasi-ungovernability. Authentic speeches of legitimate demands. Perversion of protest speeches. Spectacle of wealth and luxury versus spectacle of inhuman misery. Impoverishment of the peasantry. Massification of populations in working-class urban neighborhoods. Loss or absence of republican benchmarks in all social groups: “I take what I want for myself, and the rest I have nothing to do with it”.

The rich and the state have done everything to get us to this point. This violence which terrifies us and kills us is a construct. To dare to think that and say it is not to give it support, but on the contrary to think of ways to get out of it, which cannot be summed up in some military or police operation.
There is a level of shamelessness in and around this country on par with violence.
