In the streets of Port-au-Prince, the Haitian capital, a new trend is once again resurfacing: the sidewalk becomes a place for fuel distribution following a scarcity existing in several gas stations. Faced with this fuel shortage, residents are turning to informal sellers set up on the sidewalks to obtain gasoline.

In this context, informal fuel sellers have found a lucrative opportunity by offering their services on the sidewalks. Equipped with cans filled with fuel, these makeshift vendors offer a temporary solution to those who cannot find fuel or wait for hours in endless queues at the few gas stations.

In addition, tanker trucks continue to load this week at the Winneco oil storage center. For the day of Wednesday April 17, 71 trucks were loaded at the site, announced Terminal Varreux on his site.
