On Thursday June 13, 2024, the new Minister of Justice and Public Security, Maître Carlos Hercule, officially installed Professor Wilbert Franck Georges as the new holder of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor (MAST). Wilbert Franck Georges succeeds Pierre Ricot Hodney during a ceremony in the presence of several executives and employees of the ministry.
In his speech, the Minister of Justice encouraged the new head of MAST to take all necessary measures to support those in need and asked for the collaboration of all employees of the ministry to enable the new minister to succeed in his assignment.
For his part, Wilbert Franck Georges thanked the Presidential Transition Council and Prime Minister Garry Conille for his appointment. He stressed the importance of national unity to address the challenges facing the country and promised to work with honesty, transparency and dignity so that the ministry fully plays its role in Haitian society.
