In order to allow the city to restore its image, the Presidential Transitional Council (CPT), in concert with certain town halls, announced a vast sanitation campaign about a month ago.

While waiting for the effective start of the garbage collection operations announced by the Government, state institutions including the Ministries of the Interior and Local Authorities, and the Environment under the supervision of the Deputy Director General of the SNGRS Max Alex Joseph have started since last Friday to clean up certain garbage storage sites.
