Port-au-Prince, Saturday June 22, 2024.- From June 21 to 22, 2024, the Prime Minister organized two days of government retreat at the Montana Hotel, around the orientation framework for government action under the presidency of the Prime Minister, Dr Garry Conille. This high-level working meeting, in which members of the government, executives of the Prime Minister’s Office, public service and administration took part, aims at the harmonization and cohesion of government action under the coordination and leadership of the Prime Minister.

Indeed, the Conille government, in accordance with the agreement of April 3, 2024, is committed to implementing the five major projects such as: public and national security; economic recovery, infrastructure rehabilitation; food and health security; the national conference and the constitutional question; the rule of law and justice, as well as elections for the renewal of political personnel.

Thus, during the opening of the government retreat, the Prime Minister called on all ministers to demonstrate a spirit of innovation in the execution of their roadmap, with the aim of facilitating the success of the transition. These five main areas or projects on which government action is focused were, in fact, on the menu of debates, exchanges and workshops during the 2nd day of the government retreat.

In his closing speech, Prime Minister Garry Conille underlined the importance of this retreat which is part of a dynamic aimed at seeking results for the benefit of the population. The head of government also recalled the measures taken to strengthen governance, transparency and integrity in the management of public affairs. This involves effectively fighting corruption and cleaning up state institutions, within the framework of transparent, responsible and inclusive governance.

On the occasion of the closing of the government retreat, the Prime Minister wished to congratulate the members of his private cabinet as well as executives of the Prime Minister who collaborated in the holding and success of this forum of debates, information and exchanges in an atmosphere of conviviality between government ministers, experts and senior officials of the State and the Prime Minister’s Office.
