This Thursday, April 25, 2024, the members of the presidential transition council officially took office. Firstly, during a first ceremony organized at the national palace, the new holders of power took the oath, then secondly the Presidential Transitional Council proceeded with their official installation as prime minister.
A ceremony linked to the installation of the members of the Presidential Transitional Council took place this Thursday, April 25 at the National Palace while awaiting the continuation which will take place at the Welcome Villa in the presence of diplomats, senior executives and the media. According to the latest information, this ceremony organized very early at the palace premises concerns the swearing-in of members of the CP.
Indeed, the ceremony at the national palace was organized without the presence of the media. But, images were published on social networks showing the presence of certain members and a few hand-picked guests.
Gunshots were reported near the National Palace during the swearing-in ceremony for members of the Presidential Council.
The latest information suggests that the ceremony was not too long. Once the swearing-in of the members was completed, the members left the place to head to the Welcome Villa where the installation ceremony will take place.
The nine members of the Transitional Presidential Council are: Fritz Alphonse Jean, Smith Augustin, Edgar Leblanc Fils, Emmanuel Vertilaire, Laurent Saint-Cyr, Leslie Voltaire, Régine Abraham, Frinel Joseph and Louis Gérald Gilles.
