The CPT should quickly identify, locate and control the leaders of black-tie gangs who have links and who move the puppet strings of terrorist gang leader Jimmy Cherizier.

Flights to Haiti Suspended Indefinitely Amid Escalating Gang Violence – Travel Noire

The security situation in Haiti is considered explosive. The violent crime of Bantes terrorists has reached a high level due to the ongoing internal conflict. Although Haiti has been in a dire situation for some time, the press has reported the most recent attacks.

Technically, Haiti has been an unsafe destination since well before 2021, according to the U.S. State Department. The State Department has classified this Caribbean country as a Level 4 destination. This classification means that travelers should not travel to this country.

The current situation in Haiti has been described as a security crisis on several levels. From a political and humanitarian perspective, there are serious concerns about the safety of the Haitian people and travelers trying to get there. The whole world is witnessing the violence in the capital, which stems from political unrest.

The current crisis concerns Haiti’s ability to govern itself. After natural disasters and humanitarian emergencies, gangs have led protests against existing government powers. After the assassination of democratically elected President Jovenel Moïse (in 2021), Ariel Henry became Prime Minister of Haiti.

This decision was made thanks to the involvement of several nations and a transitional government. But Haitians have made it clear that Haitian-led solutions are needed. In the absence of elections since Ariel Henry came to power, protests have multiplied. Recently, Mr. Henry announced that the elections would be postponed again until 2025.

The country has not held elections for eight years. Terrorists invaded the capital in the wake of a failed government.

Haiti’s uncertain future and alarming levels of violence have led to changes in international relations. This threat means that the United States has made efforts to protect its citizens, since the country is located only 7,000 miles from Miami.

Apparently following planned attacks by militias on Haiti’s airport, Americans were given the opportunity to flee the country. A charter flight to Miami was organized to evacuate American citizens. Some airlines have even canceled their flights to Port-au-Prince. Deportation flights to Haiti have been organized, which is clearly a controversial measure in the context of the current crisis. These deportations have been seen as death sentences for many Haitians as gang violence escalates.

The State Department has also suspended regular visa issuance service to Haiti, so Haitians are facing increased refusal rates and the number of flights between the two countries is decreasing.
