It’s hard for someone who knows movies or knows the history of the Titanic not to remember that scene where Rose (Kate Winslet) while in the sea when the ship has sunk went to take refuge on a piece of plank. Well, as part of an auction organized by Heritage Auctions, in the city of Texas, in the United States, this piece of wood was bought for 700 thousand dollars. During the baptism event “The Treasures of Planet Hollywood”several other objects we usually see in movies have been sold, among them “freight Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom”.

The news broke today about the lifeboat that saved Rose in the movie Titanic. According to several media, a person whose identity is not revealed decided to buy this object for 700 thousand dollars. During this auction event, it was the object that sold the most. Those who were organizing this activity also issued a statement to give details about their purchases.

As part of this activity, the officials managed to collect 15.68 million dollars from the sale of many objects that participated in several films. But it is the plank from the movie Titanic that saved the Rose that sells for more money.

Other objects include the cold Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Cursed bought for 525 thousand dollars, the bowling ball ill Murray de Kingpin sold it for 350,000 dollars and Jack Nicholson’s ax from the movie Shining someone bought for 125,000 dollars.

There are several other objects from the movie Titanic that were sold at this auction, such as: a door ($125,000), the ship’s rudder ($200,000), a muslin dress belonging to Rose ($118,750) and a telegraph ($81,250).
