Making calls easier on WhatsApp: a revolutionary new feature.

Meta, the giant behind WhatsApp, is set to dramatically simplify calls on its messaging platform. A new beta version of the app includes a long-awaited feature aimed at easing the hassle of contacting friends, BFMTV reported in an article.

WhatsApp, owned by Meta (which also owns Facebook and Instagram), introduces a classic dialer interface directly into the app. A new icon, soon available in the “Calls” tab, will allow users to access this functionality, similar to that present natively on iOS and Android.

Until now, WhatsApp required users to add contacts to their phonebook before being able to call them, after which the application checked whether the contact had a WhatsApp account. If this was not the case, a specific link had to be created. This new update eliminates this step, allowing you to call directly by entering the phone number.

Currently in beta, this feature could be rolled out to all users in the coming weeks or months.

At the same time, Meta recently updated the visual interface of WhatsAppThe design leans more heavily on the app’s iconic green color, the navigation bar has been revamped, and the dark mode is now darker, responding to user requests.
