The Grenadiers accomplished their mission by taking 6 points out of 6 by beating Barbados at home (3-1), three days after their victory (2-1) at the expense of Saint Lucia.

In Bridgetown, in front of some Haitian supporters who made the trip, the Grenadiers managed to win against Barbados and take a serious option for qualification in the next round of the qualifiers.

It was Louicius Don Deedson who set the tone by opening the scoring with a powerful strike after a nice caviar from Duckens Nazon (12e). The Odense striker Boldklub continues control with his left foot then strikes with his right foot to shoot the Barbadian goalkeeper and open the scoring for the Grenadiers who doubled the lead just before the break through Duke Lacroix (45e), well served by Danley Jean Jacques.

Duckens Nazon did not score but the Haitian striker was decisive in the victory of the Grenadiers, sealed by Bryan Labissière after a lot of work by Nazon who led a lightning counter-attack.

We played the 84e minute of play when the Barbadians pushed to find the equalizer after Niall Reid-Stephan reduced the score (73e). The Kayserispor striker stole the ball at the entrance to his area, and covered the entire field before dismissing Mickael Cantave in the Barbadian area who crossed for Labissière who only catapulted the ball into the net.

A textbook goal, which sealed the victory for the Grenadiers and allowed Sébastien Migné’s men to fill up so far by signing two victories in as many matches for their first two matches in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.

“Mission accomplished,” declared the Haitian Football Federation, for Haiti which respected its rank and pocketed six points at the end of these two matches in group C, dominated by Curacao (6 points) thanks to a better goal difference (+5).

Haiti meanwhile has a +3 difference and will play its next two matches in 2025 against Aruba and Curaçao, probably for control of Group C.
