This Saturday, March 24, 2024, the Haitian senior men’s team faced the Guyanese selection in a friendly. The national Xl could not win against the local team, a match which ended with a draw (1-1).

At the Edmard Lama stadium in the town of Remire-Montjoly, the Guyanese team hosted the Grenadiers. This is the first match for Sébastien Migné and several new Grenadiers with Haiti. Although this match should serve as preparation for the national Xl which will debut in the World Cup qualifiers next June. The match took place on a playing surface where its quality leaves something to be desired.

(1-1) is the final score of the match with Duckens Nazon’s penalty goal in the 34th minute of play. A result which panics the Grenadiers fanatics as they hope to see the good performance of this team.

Difficult to develop your game due to the quality of the pitch which prevents the circulation of the ball. The Haitian selection was overshadowed by the Guyanese team until the Haitian defenders made a mistake in the area which was profitable for Guyanese striker Ludovic Baal.

While suggesting that the staff management of the Haitian selection must learn lessons from this match. Professional players cannot play international matches on these types of grounds. The fault is a better spectacle and a fairer result.
