The United Nations Integrated Office in Haiti (BINUH), through a note published on its count country.
“The installation of the Presidential Transitional Council (CPT) today in Port-au-Prince is a new opportunity to move forward towards the reestablishment of democratic institutions,” BINUH officials declared on X.
“The United Nations Integrated Office in Haiti remains fully committed to supporting the country’s authorities in their efforts to create an environment of social peace, safe and conducive to the organization of credible, participatory and inclusive elections,” added the BINUH.
It should be noted that alongside other members of the diplomatic corps accredited in the country, Maria Isabelle Salvador, Head of the United Nations Integrated Office in Haiti, took part in the installation of the CPT at the Welcome Villa.
