The minority bloc boycotted the meeting organized Thursday by Caricom with the other members of the presidential transition council.
Since the appointment of Edgard Leblanc Fils as coordinator of the Presidential Transitional Council, the advisors have disagreed.
Despite Caricom’s attempts to resolve the situation, no agreement has been reached.
The meeting planned by videoconference between presidential advisers and Caricom to reach a consensus did not come to fruition.
The minority group, which criticizes the appointment of Edgard Leblanc Fils, was conspicuous by its absence, arguing that the majority bloc aims to take control of the State, contravening the Agreement of April 3, 2024.
Note that another meeting is planned for this Monday between the different members of the Presidential Council, with the aim of finding a solution to the crisis which has been gnawing at this new structure since the election of its President Edgard Leblanc.
