Trade unionists from the Collective of Contractual Workers of the National School Canteen Program (CC-PNCS) presented at a press conference on Monday June 17, 2024 to denounce political maneuvers aimed at replacing General Coordinator Djina Guillet Delatour to monopolize the box. The leaders of the CC-PNCS ask the Government to supervise the box to allow the General Coordinator to continue the projects in progress.

THE HAITI FACTOR, June 17, 2024._The National School Canteen Program (PNCS) is in the sights of a group of politicians forming part of the New Government through the Presidential Transitional Council (CPT) via the Ministry of National Education and Vocational Training, informed the Collective of contract workers of the institution. The said Collective invites the Minister of National Education, Antoine Augustin not to fall into the trap of manipulators.

In fact, for several weeks, they have launched a vast campaign aimed at replacing the current General Coordinator, Dijan Guillet Delatour, denounced the Leaders of the CC-PNCS during a press conference given in Delmas.

Expressing his serious concerns, the President of the Collective of the National Program of School Canteens (CC-PNCS) Dafinis Bichara asks the Government through Prime Minister Garry Conille to support the institution in order to help the General Coordinator, Djina Guillet Delatour to reinforce the action capacity of the box.

He also calls on the Head of Government to pay close attention to the PNCS and not to change a team that is delivering results.

“Thanks to the efforts of Djina Guillet Délatour, the number of schoolchildren who benefited from the canteen increased from 18% in 2017 to 40% between 2023 and 2024,” recalled Défanis Bichara.

For his part, the Chairman of the Committee
for the strengthening of the National School Canteen Program (CORE-PNCS), Rosemond Denis demands from the Government the appointment of employees who have worked in the company for 27 years, the publication of the organic law of the PNCS and the granting of food for its schoolchildren for the academic year 2024-2025, among others.
