Frantzy Joseph, a Haitian national, was sentenced to 30 years in prison by the 2nd Collegiate Court of Santo Domingo Este for the murder of his partner, Rosemie Paul, and their two children, Yavason Paul and Francklyn Paul Joseph, aged six and three respectively.
The crime, which occurred in 2021 in the municipality of Yamasá in Monte Plata, shocked the local community. Frantzy Joseph will serve his sentence at the prison of La Victoria.La Judge Josefina Ubiera Guerrero, accompanied by Yury Cuevas de la Cruz and Ariella Cedano Núñez, presided over the trial.
The court followed the recommendations of the public prosecutor, represented by prosecutor Marlene Roa, who provided irrefutable evidence of Frantzy Joseph’s guilt in these murders. In addition to the murder charges, he was also found guilty of illegal possession of weapons and ammunition.
