On Monday April 29, 2024, investigators from the Office for the Fight against Drug Trafficking (BLTS/DCPJ) arrested Jacques Joseph for international arms trafficking in Quartier-Morin.
A joint operation between the BLTS/DCPJ and the Customs Surveillance Brigade, carried out in Cap-Haïtien at the Cap Terminal SA (CTSA) in Quartier-Morin, led to the discovery of two 9 mm caliber pistols, thirteen cartridges of the same caliber and two magazines hidden in a container.
Following this operation, Jacques Joseph, representative of the recipient identified under the number tel: 006-497-402-3, was arrested for his alleged involvement in the trafficking of firearms and ammunition. It is noted that the container was intended for Wilking ETIENNE, born in 1984 in Cap-Haïtien.
The container, coming from the United States and registered KOSU tel: 461487-6, was transported by the ALLIANCE INT’L SHIPPING LLC agency in Miami.
Jacques Joseph is currently in detention pending legal proceedings.
