Meeting between Prime Minister Garry Conille and the American Ambassador Dennis Hankins around the general situation in the country
The Haitian Prime Minister, Garry Conillehad an interview this Tuesday, June 11 with the Ambassador of the States in Haiti, Dennis Hankins, on the general situation of the country, in particular the security crisis and the support of the United States to the Multinational Security Support Mission.
The two leaders agreed to strengthen the ties of friendship between Haiti and the United States and to consolidate bilateral cooperation with a view to promoting development. The United States actively supports the arrival of the multinational force in Haiti. Joe Biden’s administration has already provided several pieces of equipment to the Haitian National Police and is preparing to welcome Kenyan police officers and other units who will join them in this mission.
Furthermore, following the selection of ministers by the Presidential Transitional Council and Prime Minister Garry Conille, the decree formalizing the composition of the new government was published this Tuesday, June 11, 2024 in the official newspaper Le Moniteur. The names of the ministers who will make up the cabinet are now known.
