The Presidential Transitional Council (CPT) addresses Kenyan President William Ruto on the deployment of the MMSS in Haiti.

A Presidential Advisor reached by telephone by Juno7 this Tuesday, May 7 confirmed that on Monday, May 6, a letter was sent to the President of Kenya, William Ruto with a view to the deployment of the Multinational Security Support Mission in Haiti. “The population can no longer wait, there must be a climate of security in the country as quickly as possible” maintains this member of the CPT.

“We see it like everyone else, the way in which armed gangs terrorize the civilian population” he continues, inviting the population to maintain confidence in the members of the Transitional Presidential Council, despite information which suggests that there are disagreements between them over the Presidency of the Council. “Our mission is to change the situation, not to make things worse,” he insisted.

In addition, this Presidential Advisor confirmed that a Council of Ministers could be held this Tuesday, May 7, 2024 with a view to ratifying the decision to extend by two months the mandate of the members of the Court of Auditors and Administrative Disputes which ended this Tuesday after the Council of Ministers had extended it by one month.
