Californian police have arrested a therapist named Alejandro Lopez Nunez, accused of sexually abusing a minor patient. The young patient would not be his first victim.
Contacted on June 8 by a San Jose resident who reported a sexual assault that had taken place the day before, the police quickly launched an investigation into the alleged attacker.
“During the investigation, it was determined that the suspect had sexually assaulted the minor victim on multiple occasions since March 2024,” law enforcement said in a communiqué.
Alejandro Lopez Nunez, 48, who works at the San Jose school, allegedly sexually assaulted the minor during a therapy session at the patient’s home, according to the San Jose police who, after the “thorough investigation” carried out upon the arrest of the suspect.
According to authorities, Alejandro Lopez Nunez, who specializes in behavioral therapy, allegedly attacked other individuals.
Thinking “there could be victims,” San Jose police are urging anyone with information about potential victims of Nunez to contact authorities.
