It’s confirmed ! Radio Télévision Caraibes (RTVC) has moved from its legendary location: ruelle Chavannes. An employee of the station clarified that this difficult decision was taken by the Administration because of the insecurity plaguing Port-au-Prince where armed gangs reign supreme.
Asked about the new address of the Grande Dame, the employee in question, who spoke on condition of anonymity, cut it short. He simply clarified that “people will be informed in due time”.
The rumor about the relocation of RTVC was persistent. Today, it has become a reality. This reality which has struck the heritage station is also that of many businesses, which have had to flee the capital due to insecurity.
