This is the first time a woman of this age has won the competition, thanks to the elimination of the age limit for entering the competition.
Alejandra Marisa Rodríguez became, at 60, the first woman to win the Miss Buenos Aires 2024 competition. The woman, originally from the city of La Plata, is a lawyer and journalist and now, with the motive of doubling down on the bet, she will go seek the crown of Miss Universe Argentina.
The model was able to participate in the competition thanks to new regulations that eliminated the age limit that, since its inception in 1958, had only allowed women between the ages of 18 and 28 to participate. Today, with the new regulations, the only condition is to be of legal age.
After winning this beauty contest, Alejandra received a big hug from the other competitors as well as virtual applause from her Instagram followers, who congratulated her for winning this event that brings together different models from all provinces.
Note that the next objective of Rodríguez -born Coronel Brandsen- will be the Miss Universe Argentina competition which will be held in Buenos Aires on May 25, where there will be several candidates (between 18 and 40 years old) in search of the first prize.
At 60, Alejandra revealed that one of the keys to avoiding aging is a healthy, organic diet. But physical exercise and healthy habits also contribute to one’s image and are essential to stay in shape to be crowned in the most renowned beauty pageant.
As for her hobbies, Miss Universe Buenos Aires’ Instagram account states: “She loves nature, the sun, tranquility, sitting in front of the sea and listening to the sound of the waves, meditating. Animals – she thinks we have a lot to learn from them.” He is also “happy to travel to discover new landscapes, new people and new cultures”.
“As for music, he likes tango, Latin American music and deep, poetic lyrics. She also likes poetry, going out with friends and enjoying the good times that life offers us,” she adds.
