Armed individuals clash with PNH agents on the Champ de Mars, injuries are recorded.
Des agents of the Haitian National Police (PNH) clash this Sunday against armed individuals on the Champ de Mars, a place transformed into a battlefield for weeks.
These armed individuals from the group want to take control of the National Palace in order to prevent the installation of the Presidential Council, an installation for which the date has not yet been set.
At the time of the clashes, local residents confirmed that several people were injured by stray bullets in Lalue, Bois Verna, and also near the Ministry of Culture and Communication.
Around 5 a.m., PNH agents as well as soldiers from the Armed Forces of Haiti joined forces to repel these armed individuals. In the meantime, it is not recommended to frequent the area.
It should be noted that this Sunday, gang members also confronted PNH agents at the Airport Crossroads. An initial report shows motorcycles set on fire as well as several people injured by stray bullets.
