In a correspondence addressed to the Council of Ministers this Thursday, April 24, 2024, the Prime Minister officially resigned from his post. He says he and his colleagues ‘served the nation in difficult times’
It’s now official. Ariel Henry resigned in a letter addressed to the council of ministers. “Hereby, taking note of the state of affairs, I present the resignation of my government,” wrote Ariel Henry in this correspondence.
He congratulates “all the members of the government, the collaborators, the public administration, the security forces, all those who accompanied me during this patriotic approach”.
“We have served the nation in difficult times. I thank all those who had the courage to face such challenges with me,” he said while sympathizing “with the losses and suffering endured by our compatriots during this period.”
“On behalf of the government, I thank the Haitian people for the opportunity to serve our country with integrity, wisdom and honor,” concludes Ariel Henry.
