The United States and France have expressed their willingness to work with the Presidential Transitional Council.

L’United States Embassy in Haitiin a message published on his account X informed that Ambassador Hankins attended the installation ceremony of the Presidential Transitional Council (CPT), this Monday, April 25.

“Ambassador Hankins congratulates the members of the CPT for working together to achieve this important milestone for the Haitian people. He looks forward to presenting his credentials to the CPT soon”writes the embassy.

Fabrice Mauriès, the French ambassador to Haiti facilitated the Presidential Council and expressed his desire to work with these new leaders of the country.

“Installation of the Presidential Transitional Council with constituted bodies, diplomatic corps and sectors of the Kingston Agreement of CARICOM. A working meeting followed with the diplomatic corps. Congratulations to the CPT! France will work with him for his full success”he said.

For his part, the ambassador Brian A. NicholsAssistant Secretary for Western Hemisphere Affairs, indicated on “Swearing in members of the Presidential Transitional Council represents an essential step in Haiti’s return to inclusive governance. »
