The players of the Haitian national championship were forced to decline the invitation for the last phase of the qualifiers for the 2025 World Cup, which is taking place in Chile. This situation is due to Mexican visa problems. Despite the efforts made by the Haitian Football Federation (FHF) to resolve this problem.

“The FHF has undertaken numerous steps to enable its players to reach Mexico, where the qualifying phase is taking place before the final tournament in Chile.”

Unfortunately, due to the unstable situation in Haiti, these efforts were unsuccessful. The players, some of whom are among the most talented in the country, were unable to obtain their visas to travel to Mexico.

Among the affected players are Myson Colo, Adelson Bélizaire, Rafa Intervil, Lorens Minoche, and Clifford Jean Louis. These young talents, who were among the starters in the previous stages of the qualifiers, will not be able to represent their country in this crucial stage. Their absence is a hard blow for the Haitian U20 selection, which was counting on their contribution to qualify for the 2025 World Cup.

The U20 team’s technical staff now finds itself in a delicate situation, having to replace more than nine key players with other talents. This task is all the more difficult since these players were already integrated into the playing system and possessed essential technical skills. The lack of these players could seriously affect the team’s performance in the upcoming matches.

The situation in Haiti, marked by political instability and logistical problems, contributes greatly to these difficulties. The temporary closure of embassies, the shutdown of airlines and transit constraints with the Dominican Republic further complicate the situation for the players and the federation. It is imperative to find lasting solutions to these problems in order to allow Haitian talents to fully express themselves on the international stage.

_The non-participation of Haitian national league players in the 2025 World Cup qualifiers due to visa issues is a significant setback for the U20 team. This situation highlights the logistical and political challenges facing the Haitian Football Federation. Overcoming these obstacles and creating favorable conditions for the country’s talents to shine on the international stage is essential for the future of Haitian football.
