The installation of members of the Presidential Transitional Council took place this Thursday, April 25, 2024, at the National Palace, Loop Haiti confirms.
The nine members of the Council – Smith Agustin; Louis Gérald Gilles; Fritz Alphonse Jean; Edgard Leblanc Son; Laurent Saint-Cyr; Emmanuel Vertilaire, Leslie Voltaire, Régine Abraham and Frinel Joseph took part in the event.
The installation took place in two phases. A first part took place at the presidential palace, involving the Presidential Transitional Council and the outgoing government. A reception then took place at the Welcome Villa (Primature), with the participation of the diplomatic corps and other guests.
“Installation of the Presidential Council this Thursday, April 25, 2024 at the National Palace. We continue the fight for the transformation of our country. The country needs the talents of all its sons and daughters here and in the diaspora for construction of the new Haiti”, wrote Fritz Alphonse Jean on the social network X.
