Arrest of at least 13 individuals on the night of Friday April 26 to Saturday April 27, 2024, in the city of Les Cayes, capital of the Southern Department of Haiti. They were arrested for robbery, armed robbery and criminal associations, among others, during an operation carried out by the police in concert with the prosecutor’s office of the jurisdiction, according to the Cayenne judicial and police authorities.
THE HAITI FACTOR, April 27, 2024._An operation carried out on the night of Friday April 26 to Saturday April 27, by the Les Cayes Prosecutor’s Office in conjunction with the police in the country’s third largest city, led to the arrest of at least 13 individuals.
The police arrested them in the neighborhoods named: Renaud, Croix-des-Matyrs, La Créole, Derrière Fort and Pont Salomon, among others.
These 13 individuals are: Dominique Kenley, alyas Kayel, aged 20; Pierre Makenson alias Kabrit (31 years old); Charlie Louis (29 years old); Frisnel Jean (37 years old), Rilome Lubin (23 years old); Darlin Edma (24 years old); Buteau Peterson (27 years old); Huberson Beelus (22 years old); Dieudile Amardie (32 years old); Rivens Verdile, (25 years old), Joseph Rubeson, (27 years old), Vilot Liger (21 years old) and Chepette (45 years old), according to the Prosecutor’s Office.
They are accused in cases of robberies, armed robberies and criminal associations, to name only these offenses.
According to the Government Commissioner at the Court of First Instance (TPI) of Les Cayes, Mr. Ronald Richemond, one of the alleged perpetrators of the assassination of the man named “Calipso”, in Fond Fred last month, was apprehended during the The operation called “Koupe Somèy”, carried out around 2 a.m.
